Essence Chiropractic Therapist and Clinical Social Worker, Angela Thompson

Angela Weber-Thompson, BSc. MSW RSW, Therapist and Clinical Social Worker

Angela doesn’t want practice members to waste another day feeling sad, stuck or overwhelmed. “I have 10-plus years of experience as a therapist/clinical social worker, and I would love to support you in transforming your goals into meaningful and long-lasting growth and change.” Angela exudes warmth and genuineness and knows that great therapy cannot happen without a strong relationship between client and therapist.

Angela works with individuals, couples, and families across the lifespan and draws heavily on the following:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) techniques

She specialises in the management of anxiety and traumatic stress disorders, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and provides Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.

To prepare for her career, Angela earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2007. She is a registered member with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) as well as the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW).

Tina Lackner

Tina Lackner, BACYC, MSc, RP (CPT) (RCYT) (RYT)
Registered Psychotherapist & Certified Play Therapist

Tina is a seasoned professional in the field of mental health with over three decades of experience. As a Registered Psychotherapist, Certified Play Therapist, Adult/Children’s Yoga Teacher, and Mindful Meditation Specialist, Tina brings a wealth of expertise to her practice. Beyond her clinical work, Tina is deeply committed to education and serves as a full-time Professor at Humber and an Adjunct Professor at WLU. Her teaching extends to mental health diploma/degree and Master level programs. While navigating her own journey of pursuing a PhD and raising three teenage daughters, Tina understands the importance of life balance. She incorporates practices into her daily life that contribute to her own wellness.
